New tax regime for sports betting among the changes

On 21 December 2015 Italy’s Chamber of Deputies approved the 2016 budget that among other things encompasses a profitbased tax regime on sports betting, higher tax rates on slot machines and video lottery terminals (‘VLTs’), a new licensing round and fresh advertising rules.
